Decade of Ruin (C64)

Decade of Ruin is a modern homebrew Commodore 64 game. It was inspired by old-school Dungeon Crawler and RPG games like Doom RPG (J2ME), Might&Magic, The Bard's Tale etc.

It's being written in pure 6502 Assembly and uses simple raycasting engine.

And now you can play Demo version of the game! There are no sound for now and only one level. But you can finish it.

How to Play:

You can play it on the real hardware with disk drive emulator e.g. SD2IEC. Or you can use emulator (Vice is the best option). PAL version of the Commodore 64 is preffered.

How to Launch:

Attach disk image and print on the main screen: LOAD "*",8,1 or LOAD "MAIN",8,1 and press Return. Then type in RUN and press Return again.

Controls:

• WASD - Move.
• F - Activate (walls and objects).
• QE - Choose button.
• Enter - Select button.
• I - Switch inventory zone.
• M - Open/close Map.
• WASD (in the map) - move map.

Buttons:

• Atk,Def,Fle,Evd means Attack/Defence/Flee/Evade. You can use these buttons in the fight state.
• Doc/Arm - restores your health/armor completely. But you need medkit or armorkit. While in the fight state these buttons also work.
• Also you can save and load game via Sav and Lod buttons. These buttons don't work in the fight state.
